PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption for a solid-state imaging element that performs a high-speed sweep-out operation.
SOLUTION: During a normal transfer operation, a pulse changing between a low potential VL and a high potential VM is applied to an electrode as a vertical transfer pulse. Namely, a pulse voltage amplitude of V=VM-VL is established. During a high-speed sweep-out operation, oppositely, a pulse changing between an intermediate potential VX and the high potential VM is applied to the electrode as a vertical transfer pulse. Namely, a pulse voltage amplitude of V=VM-VX (<VM-VL) is established. Thus, reduction of current consumption can be attained. The present invention may be applicable to a CCD solid-state imaging element.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
