<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for receiving payment for charging transactions from a user according to the amount of electric power transferred to an electric automobile. <P>SOLUTION: A vehicle charging station 104 is connected to an energy source 106 or a conduit 108 for feeding electric charging power to the electric automobile 102 for use in charging the electric automobile 102. The vehicle charging station 104 includes: a charging controller 109 configured to receive a request 112 for authorization from the automobile and transmit a response 114 which indicates either an approval or a denial of the request to the automobile; and an electricity power meter 110. The electricity power meter 110 is configured to receive information on the amount of electrical charging power and measurement information from the charging controller 109, measure the amount of electrical charging power transferred to the automobile, and transmit the measured value of the amount of received electrical charging power to the charging controller 109. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
