<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of illuminance in the vicinity of an optical axis of generated illumination light, and attain characteristic improvement and cost reduction of an optical system to utilize the illumination light. <P>SOLUTION: In an illumination optical system 10 for outputting light-source light 50 emitted from a light source section 20 from an emitting end face 32 as illumination light 51 by passing through a rod integrator 30 from an incident end face 31, an axicon lens 40 is arranged in the vicinity of the incident end face 31 on the rod integrator 30, deterioration of the illuminance in the vicinity of an optical axis C<SB>0</SB>of the illumination light 51 is prevented so as to make the light-source light 50 output as the illumination light 51 by passing through the axicon lens 40 and the rod integrator 30 in sequence, and characteristic improvement and cost reduction of the optical system using the illumination light can be attained by making light volume sufficiently obtain at a luminous flux in the vicinity of the optical axis C<SB>0</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
