PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound semiconductor device which is used for step-down and step-up micro DC-DC converters and for a power line switch having a filter function. SOLUTION: The compound semiconductor device 100 is constituted of an inductor 10 and a p-channel MOSFET1 and an n-channel MOSFET 5. The inductor 10 is formed in a magnetic insulating substrate 12. The p-channel MOSFET1 and n-channel MOSFET5 are formed in a semiconductor chip 11 arranged on the magnetic insulating substrate 12. A source 2 of the p-channel MOSFET1 is connected to an SW1 terminal of an input terminal. One end of the inductor 10 is connected to a connection point 9 of a drain 3 and a drain 6 of the n-channel MOSFET5, and the other end is connected to an L terminal being an output terminal. The SW1 terminal is connected to an input capacitor Cin of the DC-DC converter, and an L terminal is connected to an output capacitor Cout. Thus, the step-down DC-DC converter is formed. The SW1 terminal and the L terminal are exchanged. Thus, the step-up DC-DC converter is formed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
