PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect symbol timing with high accuracy even under a state in which an interference wave exists. SOLUTION: A window function generating part 21 extracts a left half interval T11 of a window function to generate a left interval window function and generate a right interval window function by using a 1-left interval window function. A processing signal generating part 22 generates a first processing signal S1 by multiplying the received signal by the left interval window function wktime sequentially by defining a point in time TB of the received signal which further goes back to the past by a limited interval of the left interval window function from a point in time TO which goes back to the past by a reference term from a prescribed reference point in time TR as a starting point, and generates a second processing signal S2 by multiplying the received signal by the right interval window function 1-wkby defining the point in time TO of the received signal which goes back to the past from the reference point in time TR by the reference term as a starting point. An output part 23 outputs a signal obtained by adding the first processing signal S1 and the second processing signal S2 time sequentially to a timing detection unit 3 as a received signal from the reference point in time TR to before the limited interval of the right interval window function 1-wk.
