A hollow shaft consisting of a part 15, including a collar 19, ring 21, annular disc 22, and a part 16, is rotated about a stationary central shaft 14 by a motor 62. The disc 22 secures in the ring 21 an outer metal sleeve 24 vulcanized to an annular rubber block 23, vulcanized in turn to an inner metal sleeve 25 secured by its flange 27 to the base plate 3 of a sieve drum 1 to effect rotation but permit vertical vibration of the latter. The sieve drum 1 is vibrated by a motor 65 via an eccentric 30 and a connecting rod 29. A hollow truncated cone 8 is secured to the outer edge of a flange 5 on the base plate 3. A concentrated slurry of course coal is fed at 72 into the sieve drum 1. Liquid is collected in a stationary container 51 and discharged at 73, while the coal discharges over a flange 53 into the free space 67 and bunker 60. A plurality of rubber blocks may be provided in place of the annular rubber block 23. |
