PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for displaying information on an intersection which is easy to call driver's attention in a navigation apparatus, considering that in a conventional navigation apparatus there is a technology for providing a display corresponding to a directional board for a branch road on a screen and guiding a driver with his/her visibility increased, but since the name of an area at the other side of a road constituting an intersection is set in advance regardless of a driver, it cannot call driver's attention if the driver is not familiar with the name. SOLUTION: The navigation apparatus includes: a storage means for storing names of the neighborhood of one's own house; a determination means for determining whether or not a predetermined intersection is one constituted of a road leading to the neighborhood of one's own house; and a guidance means for performing guidance using the names of the neighborhood if the intersection is constituted by a road leading to the neighborhood of one's own house as a result of being determined by the determination means.
