PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid discharge device capable of preventing floating of a float member from being disturbed by a thickened liquid. SOLUTION: This fluid discharge device provided in the midway of a liquid flow channel for supplying the liquid in a tank to a recording head includes a float chamber communicated with the liquid flow channel in one side, and communicated with a suction means in the other side, the float member arranged floatably in the float chamber and for blocking the communication of the float chamber with the suction means, when a liquid level of the liquid in the float chamber reaches a prescribed height, and at least one protrusion formed on an inner wall face of the float chamber, and the float member is supported by the protrusion, under the condition where the liquid level of the liquid in the float chamber is lower than the protrusion.
