PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable only specific mobile stations to be connected to indoor base stations with simple operation procedures. SOLUTION: A radio communication system includes: an outdoor base station; the indoor base station; a reader connected to the indoor base station; a mobile station; and a means for allowing the reader to communicate with the mobile station via short-distance radio transmission or a contact transmission line. The mobile station includes a means for transmitting a mobile station identifier to the reader. The reader includes a means for receiving the mobile station identifier from the mobile station for transmitting to the indoor base station. The indoor base station includes a means for receiving the mobile station identifier from the reader for registering in a storage means and authorizing connection of the mobile station in which the mobile station identifier has been registered in the storage means. Determination to authorize the connection of the mobile station is completed in the indoor base station, and procedures, such as transmission of a mobile station ID to a core network, are not required.
