PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor apparatus for establishing a mutual communication with an ECU apparatus mainly, supplied with power through a pair of communication lines between the ECU, and enabling a bit lock detection for improving the accuracy of detection. SOLUTION: The sensor apparatus 3 includes: a pseudo signal generating means for generating a pseudo signal similar to a signal output from a sensor 21; a switching means for switching an input to an A/D converter 11 between an output signal from the sensor 21 and the pseudo signal from the pseudo signal generating means; and a bit failure detecting means for input of the pseudo signal from the pseudo signal generating means to the A/D converter 11 through a changeover by the switch means, reading a digital value from an A/D register 11b after an A/D conversion, determining whether the digital signal is within a predetermined range corresponding to the pseudo signal, and detecting a bit failure in the A/D register 11b.
