<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image capturing apparatus for output of reference signals for OB correction processing, which reduces influence on image quality by variation in the offset of a plurality of output amplifiers. <P>SOLUTION: The image capturing apparatus includes: a pixel arrayal having an effective area, where a plurality of effective pixel blocks respectively having a plurality of effective pixels are arrayed at least in a row direction, and a light shielding area, which is an adjacent area in the row direction with respect to the effective area and where a plurality of light shielding pixel blocks including light shielding pixels are arrayed; a plurality of effective reading blocks for reading signals from the plurality of effective pixel blocks; a plurality of light shielding reading blocks for respectively reading the reference signals from the light shielding pixel blocks; connections for making connection for branching from the light shielding pixel blocks to the plurality of light shielding reading blocks; and the plurality of output amplifiers for parallel output of the plurality of reference signals transferred from the plurality of light shielding reading blocks, and then for parallel output of the plurality of signals transferred from the plurality of effective reading blocks. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
