PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for an optical material having a high refractive index, low dispersion (high Abbe's number) and heat resistance. SOLUTION: The resin composition for an optical material has a refractive index nD at 589 nm wavelength of≥1.37, an Abbe's numberνD satisfyingνD≥63 andνD≥430-250×nD, and a glass transition temperature of≥100°C.
