<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detergent composition containing a polymer builder that has biodegradability, suppresses reattaching of soot and ash dust separated from clothing, namely has excellent stain re-contamination prevention performance. <P>SOLUTION: The detergent composition for clothing comprises a polyuronate that is obtained by oxidizing a polysaccharide and has a mass-average molecular weight of 6,000-180,000 and a surfactant.
