PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make players feel expectations even for the latent varied probability game states. SOLUTION: The game machine indicates the degree of expectation for the latent varied probability game states by switching performance modes. Specifically, the game machine carries out a lottery for destinations of shifting in the switching of the performance modes at a prescribed timing using a lottery table having the probabilities determined for shifting to respective performance modes on a display screen and switches the performance modes from the result of the shift destination lottery. In a high probability state such as the latent varied probability game state, the shift probability is higher to the specified performance modes (those likely with a higher degree of expectation) while in a low probability state such as the normal game state, it is higher to other performance modes (those likely with a lower degree of expectation).
