PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent rain water or dust from invading into a battery-storing part 9 in an empty state, and to improve convenience by allowing a lid body 34 to be opened or closed according to the inserting or extracting operation of a battery case 10 into or from the battery-storing part 9 in an electrically driven tending machine. SOLUTION: The lid body 34 turnably supported by a horizontal spindle 33 is installed at the upper side of the battery-storing part 9 in the near side of an opening part 30, and is constituted so as to change the posture from a closed posture of the opening part 30 to an insertion-allowing posture by the insertion operation of the battery case 10 into the battery-storing part 9, and so as to change the posture to the closed posture of the opening part 30 by the extraction operation of the battery case 10. The lid body 34 is urged so as to close the opening part 30 by constantly moving the lid body 34 downward to the lower end side through an urging means such as a torsion spring. When the battery-storing part 9 is empty, a stepped part 35 being a stopper for closing the opening part 30 by the contact with the lower end part of the lid body 34 is integrally formed at the bottom plate 27a.
