PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silicone resin composition excellent in transparency and having a high refractive index, to provide a method for producing the same, to provide a sheet-like formed product of the composition, and to provide an optical semiconductor device sealed with the composition. SOLUTION: The silicone resin composition is obtained by polymerization-reacting a silicone derivative having an alkoxysilyl group at a molecular end or side chain with fine metal oxide particles having reactive functional groups on the surfaces of the fine particles, wherein the alkoxysilyl group is a silyl group having an aromatic group and an alkoxy group as a functional group directly bound to silicon.
