摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device or the like wherein the cooling efficiency of a light emitting tube is increased without complicating the structure of a reflector so much. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Since the tube axis TA of a light emitting tube 11 passing through a pair of sealing parts 83, 84 and the optical axis OA of a reflector 12 cross each other in a vertical plane, and the reflector 12 has an asymmetrical shape regarding the upper and lower parts with the optical axis held, the reflector 12 can be inclinedly arranged regarding the upper and lower parts with the light emitting tube 11 as a reference. In this way, the symmetry of the positional relation between the reflector 12 and the light emitting tube 11 is collapsed, a residual space is relatively easily produced in the side of the opening 12a of the reflector 12, and the residual space is utilized as a ventilation means. Namely, while using the reflector 12 composed of a single reflecting curved surface, utilizing the asymmetrical positional relation between the reflector 12 and the light emitting tube 11, the ventilation means is easily secured in the reflector 12, and the cooling efficiency of the light emitting tube 11 can be increased.
