PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus which can multi-purposely receive image data configured by storing a plurality of images prepared for all purposes in one file and can suitably switch whether the image data should be displayed like a moving image or not. SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus reads a plurality of image format files where a plurality of images from first image up to n-th image are included in one file, analyzes the photographing information of the plurality of image format files, determines whether the plurality of images are to be continuously displayed or not based on the photographing information, and automatically switches and displays at a predetermined time interval the plurality of images determined as images to be continuously displayed and generated from the plurality of image format files. Meanwhile, images which are a plurality of images determined as images not to be continuously displayed and generated from the plurality of image format files are displayed without switching at the predetermined time interval.
