<p>An electromagnetic contactor is provided with an electromagnet (13), a movable element (12) driven by excitation of the electromagnet (13), and a vacuum valve (1) incorporating a pair of main contact points which are driven with driving of the movable element (12) to approach and separate from each other. The electromagnet (13) comprises an electromagnetic coil (18) wound on a bobbin (17) having flanges (17a) at both ends thereof, an iron core (19) which is inserted through the bobbin (17) and has a magnetic pole head (19a)formed on the side of one end thereof to face the movable element (12), and a yoke (20) which is fixed to the side of the other end of the iron core (19) so as to surround the lateral part of the electromagnetic coil (18). The flange (17a) of the bobbin (17) on the side of the magnetic pole head (19a) is provided with a magnetic insulation plate (22) so as to cover the magnetic pole head (19a).</p> |
