<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag utilizing a dead space at an upper end part of a center console and enhancing occupant restraint performance at inflation of the airbag. <P>SOLUTION: The airbag device 10 restricts that an occupant sitting on a seat is moved in a collision direction at a side collision of a vehicle 20 having two seats 22L, 22R arranged in a vehicle width direction through the center console 21 of an approximately L shape. The airbag 11 is stored, in the inflatably folded state, at the inside of an airbag storage part 12 provided at a portion near an upper end of the center console at a position corresponding to the height of an approximately shoulder part or higher in seat backs 25L, 25R and at a position where distances from the position to a cabin ceiling 26 and to an arm rest part 21H of the center console are approximately equal to each other.
