<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inflator for an airbag, its case and a method of manufacturing the inflator for the airbag hardly generating non-uniformness in fixing strength, capable of shortening a manufacturing time and reducing manufacturing cost, and outstandingly reducing the risk of explosion. <P>SOLUTION: In the case including a cylinder member 1 with a bottom formed of metal and a flange 20 formed of metal for mounting, the cylinder member 1 has ring-like grooves 5 on its outer peripheral surface and the flange 20 has a circular hole inserted with the cylinder member 1 at its central portion. By compressing a flange 20 closer to the circular hole than the center T of the width W of the flange 20 in a thickness direction of the flange 20, a portion surrounding the circular hole is stretched into the grooves 5 and the cylinder member 1 and the flange 20 are fixed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
