SYSTEM AND PROGRAM FOR CALCULATING MAXIMUM NUMBER OF COMMODITIES TO BE DISPLAYED

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply calculate the maximum number of commodities to be displayed in a display space of a display rack.

SOLUTION: A server 117 stores a commodity master storing size information of each commodity 103 in association with a commodity code, and a display rack master storing size information of each display space 125 in association with a space code specifying the display space 125 of a display rack 109. The server 117 transmits and outputs information on the maximum number of commodities 103 to be displayed in the display space 125 to a PDA terminal 112 on the basis of the size information of the commodity 103 and the display space 125 when determining an input of the commodity code and the space code transmitted from the PDA terminal 112. The PDA terminal 112 displays the maximum number of commodities 103 to be displayed in the display space 125.
