<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system and a luminaire in which a joint member for joining with a body is securely joined even in a life end stage, in a lighting system using a long-life semiconductor light emitting element as a light source. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting system 10 includes: the semiconductor light emitting element 11; a metal body 12, which includes a notch 13b1 formed on an end edge of one end part, an engagement groove 13a1 formed along at least a part of an inner circumferential surface on one end part side, and the semiconductor light emitting element arranged on the cylindrical one end part side; and an engagement means for engaging with the body. The engagement means includes: the joint member 15 having a drop preventing means 13a for engaging with the engagement groove and a rotation preventing means 13b for engaging with the notch; a lighting device 16 for lighting the semiconductor light emitting element; and a base member 17 arranged on other end part side of the body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
