PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive matrix converter circuit by simplifying the circuit by reducing the number of insulated DC power supplies necessary for gate driving.
SOLUTION: Provided is a three-phase matrix converter circuit that directly converts a single-phase AC power supply 1 to an AC voltage having a predetermined frequency and provides it to windings of a three-phase motor 3. The converter is provided with: bidirectional switches 2a and 2d each of which has two gate inputs in respective current directions and both of which are connected in series between the terminals of the single-phase AC power supply 1 while they are provided for one phase; a DC power supply 8b for gate input for controlling the bidirectional switch 2d on the downstream side out of the series pair of bidirectional switches 2a and 2d; and a capacitor 11 charged with rectified voltage of the DC power supply 8b. As for a power supply for gate input for controlling the bidirectional switch 2a on the upstream side out of the series pair of bidirectional switches, the voltage of the capacitor 11 is used.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
