PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vent unit for a vulcanizing mold in which wear or damage hardly occurs even in cleaning the vulcanizing mold by shot blast and the normal vent function is secured for a long period of time, and to provide the vulcanizing mold. SOLUTION: A valve body 4 having a head part 4a at one end of shaft part 4b is internally inserted into a cylindrical main holder 2 and a head holder 3 to keep movable in the axial direction, an elastic tube 6 is externally suitable for the shaft part 4b with a certain gap in the shaft radial direction, the valve body 4 is energized at the head part 4a side by a spring 5 internally provided to the body holder 2 normally to bring the head 4a into contact with a valve seat part 3a formed at the upper end part of the head holder 3 by the energizing force and in such a state, and the upper surface of the elastic tube 6 is positioned below the upper surface of the head holder 3. A gap is provided between the upper surface of the elastic tube 6 and the lower surface of the head part 4a and the body holder 2 and the head holder 3 are fitted into a vent hole 8 to be mounted on the vulcanizing mold 7.
