<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knob for a slide operation member which can be stably stopped and held in an initial set position with a simple structure. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The knob is used for the slide operation member 3 such as a slide switch and slide volume of a device. The knob includes: a fixed shaft 15 fixed on a tip end part of a slide member projecting from a guide groove 5 of a housing case of the device; a knob body fitted to an outside of the fixed shaft and moving along a length direction of the slide operation member; a rubber plate 12 mounted on a rear surface of the knob body; and a compression coil spring 17 housed in a cylindrical space part between the fixed shaft and the knob body and moving and energizing the knob body to an outer surface of the housing case.
