<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive impact force absorbing structure of a rope material which has a great impact force absorbing effect. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The impact force absorbing structure of the rope material includes a loop 12 which is provided in the rope material 7, and a buffering implement 13 which is provided in the overlap portion of the rope materials 7 and 7 of the loop 12 and sandwiches the overlap portion by a predetermined force. When a predetermined tensile force or larger acts on the rope material 7, the loop 12 is reduced, and the rope materials 7 and 7 frictionally slides on the buffering implement 13 so as to absorb the tensile force. Furthermore, since the impact force absorbing structure is equipped with a buffering implement 21 for the loop which sandwiches the rope material 7 of the loop 12 and abuts on the buffering implement 13 so that the rope material 7 can frictionally slide, the impact force is absorbed when the rope material 7 frictionally slides on the buffering implement 13. In addition to the absorption of the impact force, the impact force can be absorbed by making the rope material 7 frictionally slide on the buffering implement 21 after the buffering implement 21 abuts on the buffering implement 13.
