<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve lightfastness without deteriorating quality of display image in a liquid crystal device. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal device displaying an image by projecting light includes a liquid crystal layer (50) disposed at a location where light is projected and a hindered phenol-based additive added to the liquid crystal layer to improve fastness to light.
