<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a primer composition which gives a satisfactory adhesiveness in bonding a surface of a metal, selected from the group consisting of gold, silver, and a metal of the platinum group, or of an alloy, comprising two or more metals selected from these metals, to a cured product of an addition-reation cure type silicone composition. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This primer composition for use in the bonding the surface of the metal, selected from the group consisting of gold, silver, and a metal of the platinum group, or of the alloy, comprising two or more metals selected from the above group, to the cured product of the addition-reaction cure type silicone composition includes (A) a copolymer of a (meth)acryloxy group-containing alkoxysilane and a (meth)acrylate, (B) an epoxy group-containing alkoxysilane, (C) a platinum-based catalyst, and (D) a solvent.
