The plant (100) has rotor blades (101) that are arranged in a hub, and a generator (110) that stays in connection with the hub, where the hub is designed as an axially open hollow shaft (102). The wall thickness of the hollow shaft is adapted to torque distribution. The generator is designed as a synchronous machine or an inner rotor machine. A secondary part (112) of the generator stays in connection with the hub in a direct and gearless manner. The generator is supported by a bracket shaped housing. A magnetic exciter is provided in the hollow shaft.
