PURPOSE: A dummy bearing using sand and a method for supporting a bridge upper structure using the same are provided to cost-efficiently support a bridge upper structure because materials in a construction site can be used. CONSTITUTION: A dummy bearing using sand comprises an assembly frame(110), sand(120), and a support block(130). The assembly frame comprises an inner space, a bottom plate(111), side plates(112), attachment angles(113), and assembling holes(114). The side plates are formed in the outer edge of the bottom plate. The attachment angles temporarily couple the bottom plate and the side plates. The assembling holes comprise bolts and nuts. The assembly frame is filled with the sand. The support block is arranged to be in contact with the top surface of the sand. |
