PURPOSE: A backlight unit and a method for assembling the same are provided to prevent light reflection from the end of a top case, thereby improving image quality. CONSTITUTION: A panel guide(PG), formed in the inner side of a bottom case, supports an LCD panel. A top case(TC) has a side part and an upper side part. The side part is attached to the side of a bottom cover. The upper side part is extended to the edge of the LCD panel from an upper side of the side. A system frame includes an opening which exposes a display unit of the LCD panel. A light reflection preventing unit is located between the top case and the system frame. |
