PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control assistance system, an information processing apparatus and a computer program, for automatically updating management information relating to a managed apparatus and restricting the operation of the managed apparatus on the basis of the management information. SOLUTION: For instance, the identification information of configuration is received from a notebook computer to be the managed apparatus (S401). The processing of identification information collation is executed (S402) and the propriety of configuration change is verified. As a result, when it is determined that the change is fraudulent (NO in S403), the instruction signal of operation restriction is transmitted to the notebook computer (S404). Meanwhile, when it is determined that the change is proper (YES in S403), a user information database is updated by the received identification information of the configuration (S405).
