PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust heat recovery device for recovering a certain amount of exhaust heat or more at all times while keeping warm-up performance of an exhaust emission control catalyst. SOLUTION: The exhaust heat recovery device 25 includes a plurality of heat pipes 60, 61 having heat recovery sections 60a, 61a and heat exchangers 60b, 61b. Each heat pipe allows the heat recovery section to recover heat from exhaust gasses emitted from an internal combustion engine and allows the heat exchanger to transfer recovered heat to a heating object. The heat recovery section 60a of the first heat pipe 60 recovers heat from the exhaust gases at the exhaust emission control catalyst 20', disposed in an engine exhaust pipe, or at an area upstream of the same. The heat recovery section 61b of the second heat pipe 61 recovers heat from the exhaust gases in an area downstream of the exhaust emission control catalyst. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
