PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compounds which are more easily metabolized by the metabolic drug detoxification systems, particularly, coumarin derivatives (warfarin analogs) to be used as anticoagulant. SOLUTION: There are provided warfarin analogs designed to include an ester in the structure of the compounds. The method introduces an ester group in drug for reducing the toxicity of the drug. The pharmaceutical compositions of the ester containing warfarin, analogs which are metabolized by serum or intracellular hydrolases and esterases, are used for treating coagulation disorders.
