PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire alarm system that shortens the time required to receive radio signals including response messages from all the slave units. SOLUTION: A control part 1 of a master unit TR1, when receiving a fire alarm message M1 transmitted from any one of the slave units TR2 etc., transmits the fire alarm message M1 to all the slave units TR2 etc., and periodically transmits a periodic monitoring message M4 to all the slave units TR2 etc. to check whether or not the slave units TR2 etc. function correctly. When receiving the fire alarm message M1 or periodic monitoring message M4 transmitted from the master unit TR1, a control part 1 of each of the slave units TR2 etc. returns a response message ACK notifying the message reception to the master unit TR1 in one of waiting times T1 etc. set in accordance with a corresponding slave unit ID.
