<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording apparatus and information recording method, wherein operability is enhanced by proximate radio communication. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The information recording apparatus includes: a first radio communication means for radio communication with a radio communication device; a second radio communication means for radio communication with the radio communication device; and a control means for determining whether communication processing is performed by the first radio communication means or the second radio communication means, recording in a first storage section the reception data received from the radio communication device by the first radio communication means on the basis of the determination that the communication processing is performed by the first radio communication means, and recording in a second storage section the reception data received from the radio communication device by the second radio communication means on the basis of the determination that the communication processing is performed by the second radio communication means.
