<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pentylene glycol-containing dentifrice composition that hardly has an odd taste, slightly has an odd taste feel during or after use, has excellent sense of use, excellent shape retention and stability of paste skin with time after low-temperature preservation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The dentifrice composition is obtained by mixing (A) a pentylene glycol-containing dentifrice composition with (B) 0.1-2.0 mass% of sodium carboxymethylcellulose and (C) 0.1-15 mass% of trimethylglycine in the mass ratio of (C)/(B) of 0.1-8.0.
