It is possible to suppress interference and improve the radio transfer characteristic. A radio communication system includes: a base station (10-1); a relay station (20) which relay-transmits relay object data received from the base station (10-1); and a base station (10-2) adjacent to the base station (10-1). The base station (10-2) transmits the same data as the data relay-transmitted by the relay station (20) by using the same radio resource as the radio resource used for a relay transmission by the relay station (20) at the timing of the relay transmission by the relay station (20).
