<p>The method comprises producing a melt of iron based alloy in a melt container, flowing the melt through a flow opening, atomizing the flowing melt by a water jet to the powder in which the water jet arrives in an atomizing angle of 8-15[deg] on the flowing off melt and the water jet has atomizing pressure of 50-400 bar and water temperature of 20-40[deg] C, reducing the oxygen content of the powder and chamfering the powder. The melt has a temperature of 50-250[deg] C over the melt temperature of the alloy. The flow opening has a diameter of 8-15 mm. The method comprises producing a melt of iron based alloy in a melt container, flowing the melt through a flow opening, atomizing the flowing melt by a water jet to the powder in which the water jet arrives in an atomizing angle of 8-15[deg] on the flowing off melt and the water jet has atomizing pressure of 50-400 bar and water temperature of 20-40[deg] C, reducing the oxygen content of the powder and chamfering the powder. The melt has a temperature of 50-250[deg] C over the melt temperature of the alloy. The flow opening has a diameter of 8-15 mm. The atomization of the flowing off melt is carried out in a protective gas atmosphere such as argon and nitrogen. The reduction of the oxygen content of the powder is carried out by annealing under vacuum or in a hydrogen- or oxygen atmosphere. The annealing is carried out at 800-1400[deg] C. The chamfering is carried out through a mechanical pre-treatment in impact-, beam- or ball mill or by conducting the powder through plasma or flame. The reduction of the oxygen content of the powder and the chamfering of the powder are carried out in a process step. The alloy component from which the melt is produced partially distributes in elementary form.</p> |
