The display has a solar cell (110) with an optically active side, and an organic LED (120) arranged on the optically active side of the solar cell. The LED comprises an organic layer arrangement (122), which is arranged between a transparent electrode (124) and a non-transparent electrode (126). The non-transparent electrode comprises light elements (126a-126c), which are laterally distributed, so that the elements are formed as a background of a pattern (105) with the solar cell. The non-transparent electrode is formed as a thin transparent metal layer or transparent oxide layer. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a display for representing a pattern.
