The method and device comprise separating residue as ice from filtrate as concentrate by floating (2) an ice slush in a container by a filter device, concentrating the ice slush using produced lower pressure of the filtrate and drying the ice by diagonally sucking air stream through snow cake (11). The filtrate is guided from the surrounding filter element into an individual draining tube (6) arranged in middle. The cross-section constriction at the draining tube increases the flow speed of the filtrate to be discharged. Low pressure is produced in incorporated suction tube (8).
