<p>The slide trombone has a trombone string (6) and a cup mouthpiece (17) with a mouthpiece cup (18) and a mouthpiece shaft, where an axis of the mouthpiece cup is angled opposite to the longitudinal axis of an inner slide tube. The bending (20) is oriented towards the right in a viewing direction (27) of a player in a playing position, so that the distance between the throat of the player and a gooseneck (4) of the trombone is enlarged.
