BATTERY MODULE

A battery module which can be used safely even if mounted in moving bodies such as electric cars and deep sea exploration vehicles.  The battery module (10) comprises unit batteries (13) and a unit battery container (14) for containing the unit batteries (13).  The unit battery container (14) comprises an upper housing (18) forming a lid body and also comprises a lower housing (19) in which the unit batteries (13) are arranged.  The lower housing (19) has through-holes formed running through the thickness direction at the positions corresponding to the centers of the lower surfaces of the unit batteries (13).  Branch tubes (23) are connected to the through-holes.  The branch tubes (23) are connected to a single main tube (25) equipped with a liquid leakage sensor (24) at one end of the main tube.  The liquid leakage sensor (24) is connected to a liquid leakage detecting device (27) via a signal cable (26).
