摘要 PURPOSE: An air bag electronic control device and an operation method thereof are provided to improve the inflation speed of an air bag by determining the deployment of the air bag using oscillation of an acceleration value according to time. CONSTITUTION: An air bag electronic control device(10) comprises an impact sensor(110), first and second calculating units(120,130), a comparing unit(140), and an inflating unit(150). The first calculating unit accumulates deceleration speed value by collision to produce deceleration value. The second calculating unit filters the deceleration speed value through low-pass filters and produces energy value using filtered two outputs. The comparing unit compares the deceleration value, energy value, and pre-set threshold. An inflating unit deploys airbag according to comparison result.
