<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain high-quality moving image data without reducing a frame rate by enabling high-precision black level data to be sequentially detected from a solid-state imaging element under operating without widening a physical space of an OB part. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes a CCD-type solid-state imaging element for photodetecting an optical image from a subject and outputting image data and an imaging element driving means for driving, for transfer, a charge transfer path provided along a pixel column of the solid-state imaging element. When reading moving image data of the subject from the solid-state imaging element at a predetermined frame rate, after one of image data items as many as a predetermined number of frames to be read at every predetermined time interval are completely transferred on the charge transfer path, the charge transfer path is caused to perform idle transfer and data obtained by the idle transfer are defined as black level data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
