<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic recording and playback device wherein aggravation of an error rate brought by low humidity is suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: In the magnetic recording and playback device including a casing 110, a magnetic tape cartridge housing part 90 housing a magnetic tape cartridge, a transferring mechanism transferring a magnetic tape, a magnetic head 30 performing recording and playback of information to the magnetic tape 50 and one or more humidity adjusting members 40 including a moisture absorbing resin containing a prescribed amount of moisture, a region A in which the magnetic tape cartridge housing part, the transferring mechanism and the magnetic head are disposed and the residual region B are isolated by an isolating member in the casing, the humidity adjusting members are disposed in the region A, the moisture absorbing resin has≥100 g/g ultimate moisture absorption and sum total dry weight of the moisture absorbing resin is 0.10 to 5.00 g/100 cm<SP>3</SP>space in the region A. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
