<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that an apoprotein etc., which are a new calcium-binding type photoprotein are demanded. <P>SOLUTION: A method for producing the protein includes: expressing a fusion protein as a soluble protein using an expression vector; cleaving the fusion protein in a cleavage site of a linker peptide; and thereby providing the protein containing a polypeptide selected from the group consisting of (i) to (l) in which Gly-Pro-Glu-Phe is added to the N-terminal. The expression vector contains (1) a promoter sequence allowing expression and induction; (2) a first coding sequence represented by formula (Z)<SB>n</SB>, and containing a polynucleotide encoding the polypeptide having functions in which the fusion protein can be expressed as the soluble protein when expressed as the fusion protein of the linker peptide and the polypeptide selected from the group consisting of (i) to (l); (3) a coding sequence having a cleavage site, and containing the polynucleotide encoding the linker peptide which adds the polypeptide composed of the amino acid sequence of the Gly-Pro-Glu-Phe to the N-terminal of the polypeptide selected from the group consisting of the (i) to (l) when cleaved; and (4) a second coding sequence containing the polynucleotide encoding the polypeptide selected from the group consisting of the (i) to (l). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
