PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly accurately execute switching control of oil pressure to three steps by using a first spool and a second spool, and raise the response of valve action when executing the above switching control. SOLUTION: In the OFF state and the initial state of a valve of a linear solenoid 12, the first spool 40 and the second spool 42 are positioned where the parts of them along the axial direction overlap with each other in non-contact state by the spring force of the first spring member 70. In the first lift state, the first spool 40 and the second spool 42 are in the position of being in contact with each other by causing the first spool 40 to make displacement to the second spool 42 side against the spring force of the first spring member 70. In the second lift state, the first spool 40 and the second spool 42 are positioned at a position displaced by a predetermined distance toward one end side of the valve body 18 against the spring force of the second spring member 72 with holding the first spool 40 and the second spool 42 in the contact state.
