<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed battery capable of assuring insulation of a battery case and an electrode terminal. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The sealed battery 100 is equipped with the battery case 20 with an aperture 28, a cylindrical terminal fixing member 50 arranged at a fringe of the aperture 28, and an electrode terminal 10 fixed in a state inserted into the terminal fixing member. The terminal fixing member 50 is equipped with a stopper ring 30 fitted into the fringe of the aperture 28, and the stopper ring 30 has an inner ring member 34 which is attached in contact with the fringe of the aperture 28, and a pair of outer ring members 36a, 36b arranged at either side face of inner ring member 34, both inside and outside of the case, and at least a surface portion of the inner ring member 34 is insulating.
